Core Aeration is the removal of small soil plugs or cores out of your lawn.
|
This process is done using a machine that extracts cores of soil and then deposits them on your lawn to be broken down and redistributed over time.
Many times soil compaction due to heavy clay, pets and natural causes is
often overlooked. The blame for an unhealthy lawn is sometimes mis
directed to other problems such as insects, diseases, improper watering
and lack of fertilizer. If left untreated, this can lead to lawn deterioration
and pest problems. When the soil is compacted, it cannot hold the water, oxygen, and nutrients that are so desperately needed. It is not uncommon that soil compaction causes run-offs.
Core Aeration will greatly benefit your lawn by giving back the needed space. It also improves root growth and helps stimulate new shoots. It will also enhance irrigation and help prevent fertilizer and pesticide runoffs. |
